For fans of: Bloc Party, Tokyo Police Club, Foals, Two Door Cinema Club …

Loaded with catchy melodies and sparkly riffs that combine influences from bands such as Bloc Party, Weezer and Foals, Belgian quintet GET OFF MY SHOES create their own sound by mixing synth-laden pop with off-the-hook rock. A sonic equivalent of the sun peeking through the clouds, if you will. Non-pretentious indie with dept, if you need a classification.

Get Off My Shoes was founded by lead singer/songwriter Jonas Meukens (brother of Warhola’s and Double Veterans’ drummer Niels Meukens) in the summer of 2009 and have since built a steady live reputation, playing about 150 club shows all over Belgium – and a single one in Spain. This includes support slots for well-known artists such as Mintzkov, The Get Up Kids and The Subways.
