Get Off My Shoes
Get Off My Shoes is a poppy indie-quintet hailing from Antwerp and surroundings.
The band was founded by guitarist/singer/main songwriter Jonas Meukens in the summer of 2009 and has come to a steady line-up since the spring of 2010. Since then, Get Off My Shoes has played countless Belgian club shows, amongst which opening slots for The Subways and The Get Up Kids.
Loaded with catchy melodies and happy riffs and influenced by Bloc Party, Tokyo Police Club, Weezer and the such, GOMS create their own sound by mixing simply good pop with off-the-hook rock.
The band released their first effort, an EP called Let's Not Rush Out And Tell The World with Thanks But No Thanks in the winter of 2011, and is currently working hard on new material.
