In 1972 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn’t commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team. But this is not their website. We figured the logo on top would’ve made that clear.
We are Thanks But No Thanks Records. You could call us a record label if you’re old school like that, but we don’t believe in that kind of limiting classifications. Sure, we release albums by bands we believe in and promote them in every which way we can.
But we’re also up for releasing compilations and dvd’s, organizing and promoting shows, finding fundings for bands and helping with the bookings and management of bands (mostly our own, truth be told). Simply put: we’re open to anything. You want examples? Check our releases page.
We are active musicians, eager to put our combined live and studio experiences to use not only for our own bands, but for all artists we believe in. No matter the genre, the age or the having a hot sister. Thanks But No Thanks Records originated from our own not-so-great encounters with labels in a musical climate that’s far from perfect as it is.
We want to make sure the musicians, promotors and organizers we meet and work with do not get the same treatment we got back in the day. Thanks to the people who stood by our own first songs as if they were their own, we had –and are still having- the best times on and off stage. We want to be those people for other artists.
Thanks But No Thanks Records is not about money or fame. Make no mistake: we do want to get filthy rich and we do want to get as famous as that guy from that show from you know and we want the same for the bands and artists that join us for the ride and we’ll do everything we can to make it happen. We just don’t count on it.
We simply want to do whatever the fuck we want and work with the bands and people we like and believe in. As much as we can, in any way we can.
If you have some great music, if you are a great guy/girl/unsure and if no one else can help, maybe you can hire the TBNTR-team. This is their website. We figured the logo on top would’ve made that clear.
